Parcel Map Overview
A parcel map is a map prepared by a county assessor’s office that shows individual parcels within a defined area for property tax, assessment, and land management purposes. It is typically based on recorded legal descriptions and includes parcel identification numbers (APNs) used to track ownership and taxation records.
Parcel maps help property owners and the public view general information such as parcel size, approximate boundaries, property lines, lot and block layouts, and section divisions. These maps are commonly available through county GIS systems or printed tax maps.
