Summer Reading 2020

Summer Reading Program: June 1 - August 1 

The Douglas County Public Library invites everyone to participate in the 2020 Summer Reading Program! There are reading and activity challenges for babies, toddlers, children, teens, and adults.

The program runs from June 1 to August 1 through the library's Beanstack webpage: douglascountynv.beanstack.org.

Children and teens who participate will earn prizes while they maintain and build their reading skills during summer break.

The Beanstack Tracker app is available for smartphones and tablets.

Set up an account on the library’s Beanstack webpage at douglascountynv.beanstack.org to participate.  Log reading, earn prizes, and enter drawings on your Beanstack account from June 1 through August 1!

Weekend Warriors - Virtual Teen Dungeons & Dragons Campaign on Discord

The Douglas County Public Library is hosting a virtual Dungeons & Dragons campaign on Discord on Saturdays from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. 

Join us for adventure this Saturday! Email the library at info@douglas.lib.nv.us to receive a Discord invitation. Provide your name, age, and library card number.

Please note this is for teens only, the rules are the same as any program, and no foul or sexually explicit language will be tolerated.

Hoopla digital offers access to thousands of music albums, movies, television shows and audiobooks, all available to borrow for instant streaming or temporary downloading to smartphones, tablets and computers. Total monthly borrows have been increased to 16 while the library is closed.

Free public WiFi is available in the Minden Library parking lot.

Anyone is welcome to park in the handicap parking spots to connect to the WiFi while the library is closed. Signs with the connection information are posted on the poles.
